AutoWebP has expanded beyond WebP-only conversion into a multi-format responsive image production engine. Add one image or a complete batch, choose the output formats and responsive widths you need, then generate optimized image files directly on your device without sending the source image pixels to a remote conversion service.

AutoWebP accepts JPG/JPEG/JFIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF/TIF, GIF, BMP, SVG and ICO source images. The engine can generate WebP, AVIF, JPEG, PNG, still GIF, TIFF, BMP and ICO outputs, giving developers, site owners and content creators one browser-based workspace for modern web delivery and practical legacy-format conversion.

Responsive Image Production
Use the built-in responsive width presets at 320, 480, 640, 768, 1024, 1280, 1536, 1920 and 2560 pixels, or add custom widths for your own layout system. Responsive variants that would equal or exceed the source width are skipped, preventing unnecessary responsive upscaling while preserving the source aspect ratio.

Private, Local-First Image Processing
AutoWebP's core image conversion workflow is designed so that your source image pixels are processed locally on your device. The application does not need to upload those image pixels to a remote conversion API to perform its core conversion work.

AutoWebP is available as an installable Progressive Web App on supported browsers. Installation provides a standalone app-style window and fast reopening. Cached application resources can support offline-capable use, while a codec or application resource that has not yet been cached may still require network access before it can be used.
Free Multi-Format Converter & Responsive Image Generator
AutoWebP is no longer accurately described as only a JPG-to-WebP or responsive WebP converter. Its current engine combines multi-format conversion, responsive image generation, quality control, progressive resizing, batch processing, duplicate detection, ZIP packaging and responsive HTML generation in one local-first browser application.
The service is free to use. Choose the source images, select the formats and sizes required for the project, generate the outputs, then download the individual files or complete ZIP package for deployment.
