Web Metrics Engine
Latest Release: 21 June 2026
Omega Web Metrics is the world’s first full‑stack WordPress diagnostic engine — engineered to measure performance, images, SEO, security, UX, and plugin impact in one unified report. Fully local, fully autonomous, and fully private. No cloud dependency, no telemetry, and no external processing.
What the Web Metrics Engine Does
Omega Web Metrics performs deep, multi‑layer diagnostics across your entire WordPress environment:
- Performance scan (TTFB, FCP, LCP, CLS, INP, TBT, asset weight, server response)
- Image scan (oversized images, missing WebP/AVIF, incorrect sizes, missing lazyload, missing fetchpriority, missing decoding)
- SEO scan (titles, descriptions, indexing, canonical, schema, OpenGraph, Twitter Cards)
- Security scan (headers, exposures, version leaks, REST API risks, mixed content, cookie flags)
- UX scan (contrast, tap targets, accessibility, ARIA issues, empty links, form labels)
- Plugin impact scan (load time, resource usage, conflicts, hooks, AJAX, REST routes, DB footprint)
All results are unified into a single, deterministic score — with per‑engine breakdowns and full detail.
How the Web Metrics Engine Works
Omega Web Metrics attaches to WordPress runtime operations and performs a full diagnostic sweep of your site. It analyzes front‑end output, server responses, asset behavior, metadata, and plugin performance — without modifying anything.
- Scans front‑end output for performance, SEO, UX, and security issues
- Analyzes server response headers and timing
- Evaluates plugin load impact and resource usage
- Checks image formats, sizes, and delivery patterns
- Validates metadata, indexing, canonical structure, and schema
- Detects security exposures and missing protections
- Maps scripts, styles, images, and domains
- Profiles DOM size, layout complexity, and interactive elements
Omega Web Metrics is 100% read‑only:
• No database writes
• No file edits
• No optimization changes
Deactivate → instant rollback
Understanding the Image Score
Omega Web Metrics scans the raw HTML generated by WordPress — not the optimized output delivered by Omega Image Engine. This is expected behavior and does not reflect the real image performance your visitors experience.
Omega Image Engine rewrites images at runtime using output buffering. The HTML in your
database and theme remains unchanged. Omega Web Metrics scans the page before rewriting occurs,
so it sees the original <img src="image.jpg"> markup — not the optimized WebP/AVIF
versions delivered to visitors.
- Raw HTML → JPG/PNG, missing lazyload, missing width/height
- Delivered output → WebP/AVIF, responsive sizes, lazyload, fetchpriority
This is why the Image Score may appear lower even when Omega Image Engine is fully optimizing delivery.
Post‑Rewrite Scan Mode
Omega Web Metrics includes an optional Post‑Rewrite Scan Mode that captures the final HTML after Omega Image Engine rewrites it. This allows the Image Scanner to analyze the actual delivered output — including WebP/AVIF, responsive sizes, lazyload, fetchpriority, and optimized markup.
- Accurate WebP/AVIF detection
- Accurate lazyload/fetchpriority detection
- Accurate responsive image detection
- True before/after comparisons
- Image Score can reach 100% when Image Engine is active
Understanding the Security Score
The Security Score reflects your site’s external exposure — what an attacker can see from the outside — plus a bonus for detected internal protections from Omega Security Engine Pro.
Omega Web Metrics checks:
- SSL and HTTPS redirect
- HSTS, CSP, X‑Frame‑Options, X‑Content‑Type‑Options
- Referrer‑Policy and Permissions‑Policy
- Cookie flags (Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite)
- REST API exposure
- XML‑RPC exposure
- Admin exposure
- Version leaks
- Mixed content
Omega Security Engine Pro contributes a plugin bonus when detected:
- Firewall active
- Rate limiting
- Login protection
- Malware scanner
- File integrity monitor
- Auto‑heal
- Hardening rules
- IP blocking
- Hidden login URL
Real‑World Diagnostic Results
Omega Web Metrics consistently reveals issues that traditional tools miss:
- Slow server responses → Identified instantly
- Oversized images → Flagged with exact file paths
- SEO metadata gaps → Highlighted clearly
- Security header weaknesses → Exposed immediately
- UX accessibility issues → Listed with actionable detail
- Plugin performance bottlenecks → Measured precisely
- Privacy → 100% local — no cloud uploads
Omega is engineered for accuracy, stability, and real‑world production environments.
Why Omega Web Metrics Is Different
Most diagnostic tools rely on cloud services, subscriptions, or external scanning — which introduces privacy risks, inconsistent results, and unpredictable costs. Omega Web Metrics eliminates all of that by performing 100% of all diagnostics locally.
- Zero Cloud Dependency — no external scanning, no remote servers
- Zero Telemetry — no tracking, analytics, or data collection
- Zero Subscriptions — one‑time purchase, lifetime use of purchased version
- Zero Risk — read‑only, no site modifications
- Zero External Dependencies — everything runs on your server
